reactions are pretty mixed so far…all the more reason for me to experiment.

i decided to give her luna’s nightguard’s ears this time. for all we know those are the canon hybrids…wouldn’t THAT be fun?

since i can’t come up with anything else at the moment, i’ll go with there being hair only on top of the head which goes into spikes on the neck. as for body hair in general, i imagined it being more coarse and wiry than on normal ponies, more akin to pig bristles.

one more note on the whole “offended” thing. i respect that you have your own creations, you’re free to play with them all you like. all i’m saying is that they aren’t satisfactory as concepts to ME, and so far i have seen none that try to approach the look and design of the show. i like working within the constraints of the show, to see what COULD work in it. furthermore i’m trying to find a true mix between pony and dragon features - not an easy feat. that means it can’t be too complicated, but also not too simplistic. it should make sense both in the show and outside of it, at least somewhat. (ignoring the fact that mammals and lizards, if dragons are in fact lizards, can’t mate) that’s my whole goal, and not to dis anybody else’s work.

and to the dude who said this is spike and rarity’s offspring. you are SO right, of course.
